Lakeland, FL -- The 2006 Let It Fly National Championships will take place this weekend at the Lake Parker Soccer Complex in Lakeland, FL. Roughly 160 teams will compete in 14 divisions. Division champions will receive championship plaques, and all participants will receive Let It Fly t-shirts.

Sixteen teams will compete in the Men's Top Gun division. Defending champions Rocky Top (Jacksonville, FL) will be on hand to defend their title, but perennial powerhouse M.O.B. will not be taking part this year. The teams will be separated into groups of four and will compete in round-robin play on Saturday. Here is how we see things shaking out:

Group 1
First Horizon, Down South, Re-Loaded, Playmakers

Look for First Horizon (KC and Houston) to be #1 in this division, with the Play-Makers (Jacksonville, FL) taking the second spot.

Group 2
Beg 4 Mercy, Get Off Me, Aquaducks, Hurricanes

The two Jacksonville teams should advance from this bracket, with the nod going to Get Off Me for the #1 seed over Beg 4 Mercy.

Group 3
The GCP, Legion of Doom, A.N.O., Rocky Top

Every tournament has a group of death, and Group 3 gets that designation here. Always in the hunt, Legion of Doom (Miami, FL), up and coming A.N.O. (Jacksonville, FL), and defending champion Rocky Top (Jacksonville, FL) will shoot it out. Look for Rocky Top and Legion of Doom to advance, with A.N.O. being the odd man out.

Group 4
Sik Wit It, South Side, Sting, Cyclones

This group is the most wide-open of the four. Look for up-and-comers Sik Wit It (Miami and Jacksonville, FL) and a veteran Sting (Miami, Fl) squad to advance.

Final Four
Look for Rocky Top, First Horizon, Legion of Doom, and Get Off Me to advance to the final four, with Rocky Top successfully defending their title over Legion of Doom in the finals.
